Overview

The main theme of Zine 02. “100 Day Reborn Project” is an immersive journey transforming waste into artful miniature furniture, symbolizing sustainability and creative rebirth. Over 100 days, I crafted 50 unique mini furniture pieces, each with its package design, telling a story of transformation and environmental consciousness.

Context

This project addresses the crucial themes of waste and sustainability. I chose these themes to showcase my design philosophy that intertwines environmental responsibility with creativity. The concept emphasizes the untapped potential of discarded materials, aiming to inspire a shift in how we view and utilize waste in design.

Design Concept

Holistic Design Concept

Zine02 focuses on the rebirth of materials. Each miniature furniture piece and its packaging represents a journey of transformation, embodying sustainability and innovation.

Detailed Presentation

Each item is meticulously crafted, emphasizing the unique characteristics of the upcycled materials. The packaging designs further elevate the narrative, tying in the brand identity that symbolizes the cycle of materials and balance in nature.

I introduced my brand name for the mini furniture collections, choosing the French name “Renaître,” meaning ‘reborn.’

The brand’s visual identity incorporated main shapes as circle, triangle, and square — symbolizing the ongoing cycle of materials, recycling, and balance, respectively, imparting a clean and renewed image to my upcycled collection.

I made this “100 Day Reborn Project” collection as posters and zine to showcase them.
